UNDERWATER SURVEY '99 Yildiz1 2- Guven1 2 3 - Orkoz - Saros - ROVs
Views of from the Otel 57
The Otel 57 was the base of operations for the Black Sea Expedition. Two tools that I used a lot were a digital camera and a laptop
The following three shots are views out of my window of alley below.
View from window of an old Ottoman period house. These wooden structures date back to the late 19th. Century. This particular house may someday become the Black Sea Expedition headquarters.
Front side of the hotel faces a busy street that serves the harbor area.
Harbor can be seen through the buildings.
The street on which Otel 57 is located is setback from the Sinop harbor.
Grocery store across the street from the hotel. There are a lot of privately owned grocery stores in Turkey. I seemed that most of the stores carried the same merchandise there wasn't any diversity the items they sell most
Main Lobby of Otel 57 with Turkish music videos playing. The stairs lead to the upper lobby
The Otel 57 lobby upper was the "unofficial" meeting hall for the Black Sea Expedition
